Terms of Service
Agreement
Melomi is made by one independent developer, referred to here as Melomi or we. By creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Melomi.
Who can use Melomi
You must be at least 13 years old to use Melomi. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission first. By using Melomi you confirm that this is true.
What Melomi does
You give Melomi words, spoken or typed, and Melomi turns them into an original song with music, a hook, and cover art. Your song is generated for you by the music and artwork services that work from the words you provide.
Your account
You sign in with Apple, which gives us your name and email. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your device and your sign-in secure.
Subscriptions and credits
Melomi offers a subscription and credit packs, sold only through Apple. The price is the one shown in the App Store at the time of purchase. A subscription renews automatically through your Apple ID until you cancel. You cancel in the Settings app under your Apple ID, not inside Melomi. Apple handles all billing and any refunds. Plan credits reset at the start of each period. Credit packs you buy on top of a plan do not expire. Credits have no cash value and are not refundable except where the law requires.
Your license to use the app
Melomi is licensed, not sold, to you. You may use it only on Apple devices that you own or control, and only as the App Store Usage Rules allow, including their Family Sharing rules.
Apple's role
These terms are between you and Melomi, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app. If the app fails to conform to any promise made here, the most Apple must do is refund the price you paid for it, where a refund applies, and Apple has no other warranty obligation. When you use the app you agree to follow any third-party terms that also apply. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
Who is responsible, and export rules
Melomi, not Apple, is responsible for the app and for any claim that it fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, causes harm, or infringes someone's rights, including defending any such claim. You confirm that you are not located in a country under a United States government embargo and that you are not on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
The words and content you give us
You own the words you type or speak, and you promise you have the right to use them. When your song is about a real person, you take responsibility for how you create, use, and share it. You give Melomi the license it needs to store, process, display, and deliver your content so the service can run, including making your song and its cover art and showing them on any page you choose to share.
The songs Melomi makes for you
Melomi assigns to you the rights it holds in the song made for you, for your own personal and commercial use, subject to the terms of the music and artwork services that help create it. Because your song is generated by a machine from your words, we cannot promise that copyright protection will apply to it, and we cannot promise your song is unique, so other users may receive similar songs. You are free to use your song knowing this.
House Rules
Everything you make and share on Melomi must follow the House Rules, which are part of these terms. Read them in the app or at melomi-backend.fly.dev/house-rules. In short: savage is fine, cruel is not, and slurs, threats, sexual content about a real person, and private details are refused before a song is ever made.
Moderation, suspension, and ending your account
We may remove content, hide a page, or suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the House Rules. You can stop using Melomi at any time. You can ask us to delete your account and data by email, and where the option is available, in the app.
Copyright complaints
If you believe a song or page on Melomi uses your copyrighted work without permission, use the Contact form at melomi.app/feedback with your contact details, a description of the work, the link to the page in question, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, made knowing it is unlawful to lie, that you own the work or are authorized to act for its owner, and your physical or electronic signature. We remove content that is properly reported.
The app is provided as is
Melomi is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that the service will always be available, error free, or fit for a particular purpose.
Our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Melomi's total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Your consumer rights
Nothing in these terms removes rights that the law of your home country gives you and does not let you sign away, including consumer protections in the European Union and the United Kingdom. Where those protections conflict with these terms, those protections win.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the law of the country where the developer lives, except that the consumer rights described above still apply to you.
Changes, contact, and effective date
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will note it in the app or on the terms page and update the date here. Questions go through the Contact form at melomi.app/feedback. These terms take effect on 18 July 2026.
